We are looking for a technically oriented person with great attention to detail and at least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Weighing and preparation of samples
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with ISO 17025
- Contribution to the laboratory quality control and quality assurance systems
- Reporting stock levels of consumables, standards, and chemicals
- Maintaining laboratory cleanliness, organisation, and good housekeeping practices
- Recording results in LIMS and/or laboratory worksheets
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances or equipment issues
- Supporting senior analysts as required
Skills and experience required:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with clear and accurate record keeping
- Ability to reason and interpret laboratory data
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
